Dr. Lewis was inspired by Mariah Martin to journey to the Maasai to heal a past life. She has since taken seven journeys to experience their healing rituals. Each visit with the Maasai there is an exchange--water pumps, corn thresher repair, or a school room.

Mythologies

What fairytale entraps? What song lifts the soul? What myth is an audience spellbound by? What story liberates? What story binds? What mythological truth is yours alone? What drawing, painting, image liberates? What is the story you were meant to tell that fills the void, resolves questions, helps others, serves the universe? How do you follow the bread crumbs, the symbols, the dreams, and climb your way out into Self actualization? Self realization?

“Each of us is living out a myth whenever we are brought down by our fatal flaws (Achilles); our naïve exuberance (Icarus); when our curiosities get the better of us (Pandora); when we’re engaged in futile effort (Sisyphus); when we take the weight of the world on our shoulders (Atlas): when we’re self-centered (Narcissus): when we imagine ourselves invincible (Superman or Wonder Woman); when we’re undone by our own anger (Ahab); or when we run from a calling (Jonah)."
